1. Where are you located?

We are conveniently located in Brecksville, 1/4 mile north of the intersection of Brecksville and Royalton Roads, in Millside Centre.

2. What forms of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, checks, and all major credit cards. As well, we offer financing through Care Credit. If you have dental insurance, we will electronically submit your claim for you. All deductibles and coinsurance are due on the day of service.

3. When do you recommend children first see a pediatric dentist?

We recommend that all children see their pediatric dentist by their first birthday. This policy is endorsed by both the American Dental Association and the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry. At this initial visit, a caries risk assessment is performed so that appropriate preventive strategies can be implemented for each child and reduce each child’s risk of preventable dental disease.

4. When do you recommend dental radiographs?

We recommend that children receive dental radiographs (x-rays) once the spaces between the back teeth begin to close and those surfaces can no longer be visualized. This allows a complete diagnosis of decay between teeth that is typically not visible to the eye until the decay is very advanced. These bitewing radiographs are repeated at intervals of 6-24 months, depending on the decay risk of the individual child. We also recommend a panoramic radiograph for each child as permanent teeth begin to erupt, to screen for hard tissue pathology, extra or missing teeth, and orthodontic problems. The panoramic radiograph is repeated later to assess third molar (wisdom teeth) development.

5. When do you recommend nitrous oxide?

Nitrous oxide is very useful in managing mild to moderate anxiety in children having dental treatment. Children are still awake and aware of their surroundings, and readily respond to questions and requests from the dental team. It is also very helpful in managing a strong gag reflex, allowing those children to have a much more enjoyable dental visit. Oxygen is given for 4-5 minutes at the end of the appointment, so that the child leaves with no residual effect from the nitrous oxide.
